Grading, drainage paving, signals and structures along US Highway 64 from US 19-74-129 in Murphy, NC to east of NC141 Peachtree. Work included the excavation of 3,875,000 cubic yards of dirt and rock. Approximately 70% of the project was drilled and shot by WB forces. The project also included construction of 5 bridges; 3 over the streams and 2 over roadways; and a cast in place 535 FT long double barrel box culvert. The project was constructed on new alignment.
This project was completed 9 months ahead of schedule.
