The Henderson County project is owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The project is 2.916 miles in length beginning just south of the Interstate I-26 on NC 225/US25 becoming the connector from US 25 at Zirconia to I-26. Major element s of construction include 496,800 CY of excavation; 40,000CY of borrow excavation; twin steel girder bridges; 96” structural multi-plate pipe, 12,216 LF of storm drain pipe, paving and other miscellaneous associated work items.
